Amazing who you run in to when checking out regional British museums. Bolton Museum has a nice compact collection with some surprising pieces including this nice replica of the iconic Nefertiti bust (currently Berlin). One enjoyable thing about the field of Egyptology for me is that every collection I view has something new or unusual I have never seen before. It's very rewarding to still be saying "wow" to myself while I wander around - after 5 years of study, I'm still full of wonder at these amazing people and their intriguing civilisation.
