Late Period bronze reveals its secrets under the microscope.
Bronze is very uncommon in the archaeological record in Egypt until the Late Period. X-ray/X-ray fluorescence are common testing methods used to analyse artefacts and can reveal how an object was manufactured and in some cases, even the original mine from whence the metal was sourced.
